At Sapphire Advanced Aesthetics, our advanced laser training program provides educational and hands-on experience for the most popular and innovative cosmetic laser treatments on the market.
This course is led by Maricela Ramos, a Licensed Advanced Practice Esthetician for seven years, specializing in lasers and skin of color. She is joined by Minneapolis cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leslie Smith, who is specially trained in laser and energy-based technologies and has over a decade of experience with these types of treatments.
In this cosmetic laser training course, you will learn the fundamentals of aesthetic laser treatments, how to evaluate candidates and develop customized treatment plans, treatment techniques, safety protocols and more. We offer hands-on learning to actively engage our students and help them develop the skills necessary to provide effective laser services.
Our Training Program Covers the Following Aesthetic Services:

- Intense pulsed light
- Laser skin resurfacing, including:
- Fractional lasers
- Laser-assisted peels

Who Should Take This Course?
This training program is ideal for providers of any skill and experience level and all backgrounds. If you’re new to the aesthetics industry and interested in becoming a laser technician, having the laser certification from this course can make you much more likely to get hired at a medical spa, aesthetic practice or another type of cosmetic treatment center. Physician assistants, aestheticians, registered nurses and even plastic surgeons and other types of doctors can also benefit from the experience and knowledge gained from this training program.
Program Schedule
Participants complete the cosmetic laser training course over a two-week period. The first portion is a self-paced online program focused on the theory of aesthetic laser treatments. This is followed by two hands-on training days and one test day to qualify for certification. Students can schedule their hands-on training days through the website upon completion of the online learning.
We offer the laser training program twice a month. All modalities listed above are covered in our comprehensive training bundle, or you may choose to focus on specific areas of interest.
Laser Certification
At the end of your course, you’ll be provided a certificate of completion. This laser certification will demonstrate your proficiency and experience with the specific laser treatments covered in your program. Your certificate will also document the hours you spent in this hands-on training course.
Continuing Education Lectures
Alums of our laser certification training program are invited to attend the four continuing education lectures we host every year. These lectures allow for further professional development and help program graduates keep their knowledge and skills sharp in the field of aesthetic laser treatments. The lectures will cover topics related to the latest developments in the industry, new laser devices on the market, course refreshers on specific laser treatments and much more.
Our continuing education lectures are hosted by Maricela and Dr. Smith. They are joined by guest speakers from top laser companies who lead the discussions. This structure ensures that our participants benefit from the diverse knowledge and experience of some of the brightest and most accomplished minds in the industry.
