AccuTite and FaceTite

There are certain stubborn areas throughout our bodies that are determined to be resistant or even immune to our slimming efforts. It can be the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, belly, arms or even legs for many people. But one of the single most frustrating areas is a little more on the nose.

Our faces are often the victims of stubborn fat and skin sagging, but despite how common it is, there are very few reliable ways to address these concerns. Luckily, AccuTite and FaceTite are available to most people looking to slim their facial contours.

What Are Accutite and Facetite?

AccuTite and FaceTite are revolutionary, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures designed to remove unwanted pockets of fat throughout the face while simultaneously tightening the skin in the newly slimmed areas. It achieves this through highly advanced radiofrequency technology, which is emitted into the underlying layers of skin through a small cannula.

This RF energy is then converted into heat, liquifying the surrounding fat. The cannula then suctions out the fat in a process that is similar to a small-scale liposuction procedure. Since there is often some skin ptosis left behind after this process, the RF energy is doubly helpful since it helps to retighten the skin.

AccuTite and FaceTite are essentially the same treatment for different areas of the body. FaceTite can address larger areas like the chin and jowls with a larger cannula, while the smaller instrument from AccuTite is better suited for nasolabial folds, around the eyes and the jawline.

Why Do We Need Them?

There is no way to exercise your face. So people who have fat deposits on their face have very few options for slimming these areas down. They often are forced to rely on diet, and while losing weight and having a healthy lifestyle can definitely transform your facial appearance, it doesn’t always give us the look we desire.

Even the most rigorous programs fall short on reducing problems like double chins and large cheeks, but we all have another contender to worry about as well: the natural aging process. Unfortunately, a big part of skin ptosis is our production of essential nutrients like collagen and elastin, which keep our skin taut.

As we get age, our bodies begin to slow down their production, and the effects of that process can be noticed much more drastically in our faces. The RF energy in FaceTite and AccuTite stimulates this production by tricking the body into beginning its natural healing process.

To put it simply, we need AccuTite and FaceTite because there is no alternative and because we believe everyone is deserving of their ideal appearance. Outside of these two options, there are very few treatments that are as reliable and safe.

Who Are the Right Candidates?

If you are struggling with unwanted pockets of fat in your face, you will likely be a candidate for AccuTite and FaceTite treatment. Here are some general guidelines to figure out if these treatments are right for you:

  • You are experiencing minor to moderate excess fat or facial sagging
  • You prefer a minimally invasive option rather than a surgical one
  • You have realistic expectations about what AccuTite and FaceTite can achieve
  • You feel as though you look older than you actually are
  • Your confidence is taking a hit from your facial appearance

The only sure way to determine your candidacy for this treatment is to schedule a consultation with our office. During this appointment, our medical professionals will examine your condition and listen to your aesthetic goals.

This data and observation will then be used to develop a customized treatment plan to fit your specific needs. Our attentive medical staff will walk you through the entire process so you know exactly what to expect.

How Should I Prepare?

You will likely be given a set of instructions before your procedure day. These often include things to avoid, like sunlight or harsh skin treatments, but they can also have directions on modifying medications in some rare cases.

Both FaceTite and AccuTite are minimally invasive procedures, which means there will be very minimal preparation on your end. The bulk of your preparation should come before your initial consultation — we recommend keeping a list of questions to ask your physician so you can leave feeling as confident in your decision-making as possible.

What Is the Procedure Like?

Every procedure will begin with the cleaning of the surface of your skin. Once the area is clean, Dr. Smith will then apply a local numbing agent to help reduce pain and discomfort that occurs from the procedure.

Once the numbing has taken effect, a small incision will be made near the ear. This incision is tiny and will not leave behind any scarring. A small cannula is then inserted into the incision and position near the targeted areas of the face, where RF energy will be emitted and excess fat will be removed.

In addition to the cannula, an external machine is also used on the outer layer of the skin. The two work in unison to remove fat and tighten tissue. There are multiple safeguards built into the machine to ensure the correct amount of heat is being delivered to avoid damage.

Once the fat has been sufficiently removed and the tightening has been completed, you will be bandaged. The entire AccuTite or FaceTite process takes about an hour from start to finish.

What Kind of Recovery Is There?

You will be able to leave the office and return home immediately after your procedure, but you will need to take up to five days off work and other obligations to recover properly. It is normal to experience minor pain, discomfort, itching, swelling, bruising and soreness, but these can generally be managed through over-the-counter medications.

You will likely be given a set of compression garments to prevent excess fluid from building up and damaging your results. It is normal for minimal swelling and bruising to be present for about a week after the procedure, but aside from that, patients are generally able to resume their usual routines after two or three days.

Once your swelling has subsided, the results will be immediately noticeable, but improvement will continue to develop for about six months as the body settles into its new appearance.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect?

facetite and accutite patient

You can expect to enjoy drastic improvements to your facial contour. Stubborn pockets of fat will be reduced, and skin that once sagged will now appear more taut and defined. Many patients find this treatment significantly improves their confidence and ability to socialize comfortably.

Your body cannot produce new fat cells, so when it comes to fat removal, your results will be permanent. The skin tightening portion is slightly different since your body will continue to slow down its production of essential proteins. FaceTite and AccuTite can be repeated every three to five years, depending on your needs.

It would be best if you remembered that weight fluctuation could have adverse effects on your results. As the body takes in fat in new face areas, your tissue will expand and contract, leaving you with a sagging appearance once again. The best way to optimize your results for the long haul is to maintain a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
