FaceTiteMinneapolis, MN

A softer jawline, loose skin beneath the chin, and changes in lower-face definition can gradually change the way your face looks, even when the rest of you still feels youthful and energized. For patients who want more noticeable tightening and contouring but aren’t ready for a traditional facelift, FaceTite offers another approach.

FaceTite at Sapphire Advanced Aesthetics is a minimally invasive facial contouring treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to target unwanted fat, contract tissue, and stimulate collagen production beneath the skin. By addressing both laxity and facial contours, FaceTite can create a tighter, smoother, more defined appearance without the extensive surgery and recovery associated with a traditional facelift.

Residents of Minneapolis, Wayzata, and surrounding communities are invited to explore FaceTite with Dr. Leslie Smith.

WHAT IS FACETITE?

FaceTite is a minimally invasive facial contouring procedure designed to tighten loose skin and improve definition throughout the lower face and jawline.

The treatment uses bipolar radiofrequency energy above and below the skin to carefully heat targeted tissue. This controlled energy helps address unwanted fat, contract soft tissue, and stimulate collagen production for continued tightening and remodeling.

FaceTite can be particularly beneficial for patients who want to address:

  • Loose or sagging skin along the lower face
  • A poorly defined jawline
  • Fullness beneath the chin
  • Early jowling
  • Changes in facial contours
  • Skin laxity associated with aging
  • Lower-face concerns that may require more correction than noninvasive treatments can provide

Because FaceTite works beneath the skin through small access points, it can provide more significant facial remodeling without the larger surgical incisions associated with a traditional facelift.

BENEFITS OF FACETITE

FaceTite bridges the gap between noninvasive skin tightening and traditional facial surgery. It allows Dr. Smith to address the deeper tissue contributing to changes in your lower-face contours while keeping treatment minimally invasive.

Benefits may include:

  • Tightens loose or lax facial skin
  • Creates a more defined-looking jawline
  • Improves lower-face contours
  • Targets small areas of unwanted facial fat
  • Stimulates natural collagen production
  • Addresses skin laxity and contouring in one treatment
  • Offers an alternative to more extensive facelift surgery
  • Uses small access points rather than large surgical incisions
  • Provides progressive improvement as collagen remodeling continues
  • Requires less recovery than traditional facelift surgery

FaceTite is designed for natural-looking rejuvenation. The goal isn’t to make your face look dramatically different. It’s to restore definition and address the laxity that can make your lower face look heavier or less sculpted over time.

WHO IS AN IDEAL CANDIDATE?

FaceTite may be appropriate for adults who have started noticing loose skin or reduced definition throughout the lower face but aren’t ready for—or don’t require—a traditional facelift.

You may be a candidate if you are concerned with:

  • Mild to moderate facial skin laxity
  • Early jowling
  • Reduced jawline definition
  • Fullness beneath the chin
  • Loose skin along the lower face
  • Age-related changes in facial contours
  • A desire for more substantial correction than noninvasive skin tightening may provide
  • Avoiding the larger incisions and extended recovery associated with traditional facelift surgery

FaceTite isn’t the right solution for every degree of facial laxity. During your consultation, Dr. Leslie Smith will evaluate your facial anatomy, skin quality, areas of concern, medical history, and aesthetic goals to determine whether FaceTite is appropriate for you.

HOW THE FACETITE TREATMENT WORKS

FaceTite uses controlled bipolar radiofrequency energy to treat tissue both above and below the skin.

During the procedure, a thin probe is carefully positioned beneath the skin through small access points while an external electrode travels along the skin’s surface. Radiofrequency energy passes between the two, allowing targeted tissue to be heated in a controlled manner.

This process is designed to accomplish two important goals at the same time: reducing targeted fullness and contracting tissue for a tighter, more defined contour. The controlled heating also stimulates collagen production, allowing improvements in firmness and skin quality to continue developing after treatment.

Your FaceTite procedure is personalized according to your anatomy, degree of laxity, and desired level of facial definition.

RECOVERY & RESULTS

FaceTite is minimally invasive, but because treatment works beneath the skin, some recovery should be expected.

Swelling, tenderness, and bruising may occur following treatment. Many patients can begin returning to their normal routines within several days, although your individual recovery will depend on the extent of treatment and your body’s healing response.

Some improvement in facial contours may be visible relatively early. More significant changes typically become noticeable during the following 3–8 weeks, with continued improvement over the next several months as swelling resolves and collagen remodeling progresses.

Dr. Smith will provide personalized aftercare instructions and explain what you can expect based on your individual procedure.

FACETITE FAQS

How Many FaceTite Treatments Are Needed?

The number of FaceTite treatments needed depends on your anatomy, degree of skin laxity, and desired outcome. Most patients can achieve optimal results with approximately 1–3 treatments. During your consultation, Dr. Leslie Smith will evaluate your concerns and recommend a personalized treatment plan based on your needs and goals.

FaceTite is designed with patient comfort in mind. Because the procedure works beneath the skin, anesthesia and/or sedation may be used to keep you comfortable during treatment. Some soreness or discomfort can occur afterward and can typically be managed during the recovery period. Dr. Smith will discuss your comfort and anesthesia options before your procedure.

Some patients notice visible changes soon after treatment. More significant improvement typically becomes noticeable within 3–8 weeks, with continued changes over the following months as swelling resolves and collagen production and tissue remodeling continue.

FaceTite is particularly well suited for contouring the lower face. Treatment may address the jawline, jowls, lower cheeks, and area beneath the chin to create a tighter and more defined appearance.

FaceTite uses radiofrequency energy to target small areas of unwanted facial fat while tightening surrounding tissue. This combination can be particularly beneficial when both fullness and loose skin are contributing to reduced definition throughout the lower face and jawline.

Yes. Skin and tissue tightening are central goals of FaceTite treatment. Controlled radiofrequency energy heats targeted tissue beneath the skin, promoting tissue contraction while stimulating collagen production for continued improvement.

FaceTite may be appropriate for patients who want meaningful lower-face tightening and contouring but aren’t ready for or don’t require traditional facelift surgery. It uses small access points rather than the larger surgical incisions associated with a facelift and generally involves a shorter recovery period.

FaceTite and facelift surgery aren’t interchangeable, however. Patients with more significant skin laxity may benefit more from a surgical approach. Dr. Smith will help determine which option is appropriate for your anatomy and goals.

FaceTite is designed to create lasting tissue remodeling while stimulating new collagen production. However, no aesthetic treatment can stop the natural aging process. How long your results remain visible can depend on factors such as your age, skin quality, lifestyle, weight stability, and continued aging.
